The Pinot Noir grape variety is considered an old, classic, but also the finest red wine variety and is planted in all German wine-growing regions. Warm, loose and deep soils in good locations are prerequisites for this demanding grape variety from the Burgundy family. Blanc de Noir is a white wine made from the red Pinot Noir grape. In German, Blanc de Noir means "white from the black", because the coloring of the berry is kept away from the juice during the production process. The light color is created by pressing directly after the harvest, but it has slight salmon-colored reflections. After fermentation, biological acid reduction takes place. The structure and character of the Blanc de Noir corresponds to the type of wine known as Pinot Blanc.
The scent of strawberries, vineyard peaches and vanilla immediately wafts towards the wine connoisseur in the nose. Light aromas reminiscent of honeydew melon and orange unfold. When tasting this wine, the first thing that stands out is its soft, creamy and fruity character. Its subtle residual sweetness makes the wine particularly long-lasting, full-bodied and tenderly melting. The Hahn winery is located in Kröv in the middle of the unique natural landscape of the Moselle in the Middle Moselle region. The fascinating river landscape is characterized by steep slate slopes, ecological diversity and mineral soils.
The family business is now in its 9th generation. Master winemaker Ute Hahn runs the business with her husband Alwin.

Daughter Rebecca brings current experience from her master's degree in viticulture, oenology and wine business and various stays abroad to the winery. She was the wine queen of Kröv in 2018 and will lead the winery into the future in the 10th generation.

Daughter Franziska is studying food chemistry. As the current wine princess of Kröv, she also presents our region and wines at various events.

We cultivate 3 hectares of vineyards with the grape varieties Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Blauer Spätburgunder, Dornfelder and Muscaris. Experience from 250 years of winemaking combined with openness to new things shape our actions, which are always in harmony with nature. Through careful development, we produce lively and expressive wines that let you feel our passion and pure joy of life with every sip.
